Trying out a new fold

Inspired by Leann's new fold  (details here )  I decided to have a bash today to mount an image I had coloured the other day, ready for a card for the birthday of my sister-in-law later this week.

It was fairly easier, once I had done a trial template on copy paper. although took a little while to work out the exact measurements.  I did find it easier to mark the folds and cutting line lightly in pencil on back of card first to make sure they were correct, before attempting the scoring and cutting!

This card differs slightly from Leann's, in that it is an A5 finished card (i.e. A4 to start).   I used some double-sided red dot/red cardstock from a Forever Friends "Gift Wrap" pad.

JS Orchid stamp was coloured with promarkers, and cut out with a nestability die borrowed from my daughter whilst she was away in the West Country at the weeked!   I edge this with chalk.

As I was playing with my new sizzix  "Flowers & Flourish #2" dies last night and cosmic shimmers, I decided to use two of the scrolls as well.  Finally I printed out  sentiment on computer and backed it with more paper edged in same chalks as the image, and added a few fine line peel-offs.

Although relatively simple, once I got going - it was slighly more complicated than my normal "I only do simple", but it is a very effective fold.
