Ben's Card

A card order for a 16 year old who is hoping to become a Chef - he came second in our local final for Junior Masterchef.  He also loves his mobile phone!

Dark blue cardstock.  Background paper (including words) was made using my new Forever Friends cd - those chef hat images were just what I needed.   The two toppers (mounted on clear pads) where created using MCSP.  I struck lucky wth the image to go on the phone, as my son and his partner went for a tasting session for the menu they are having for their wedding, and this was picture of the dessert!  (As I had seen photos of Ben's competition dishes on his mobile phone - thought the image would be rather apt.)

Forever Friends Wedding Card and Bag

The "spec" for this card order was "something like Forever Friends Bears".  I think I have got that bit right!   I also ascertained that the colour scheme for the wedding is pink.

I don't often buy "readymade toppers" but it was the only way I could achieve this card.   Card has diecut bears, decoupagd and mounted on stardream and silver mirri on white base card.  Various topper bits from one of the two kits I bought, plus ribbon, flowers, jewels from stash, and name tag created on computer and embossed.

Vellum insert, printed in silver and embossed.  Martha Stewart punch on top and bottom edges, and all edges chalked in pink.  A bought peel-off for the fly leaf.

and finally instead of an envelope, I made a matching bag with a pre-made decoupage topper  added, and ribbon handles to match ribbon on the card.  Instructions for the gift bag, can be found on  Suzanne's  blog.

Finger's crossed that my pal who ordered it likes it!  (Update - card delivered and my pal cried!  Tears of Joy thankfully!)

Poppy Card

I fell in love with this Penny Black stamp at Ally Pally, and had to play.  I have done a red version too.  Coloured with promarkers, and decoupaged and matted on Conqueror pearlescent card and silver mirri.  This card is going to my goddaughter for her birthday.

Hannah + Cute Daisy May

I made this card for my great niece's 18th Birthday with a digi image I bought from Cute Daisy May, which I coloured with promarkers.  I kept it fairly simple as she is a bit of a tomboy.  (there is even a football with 18 on it on the insert!).
