Birthday Card

Today's card was made using the Clarity Treescape Doodle Montage stamps and mask and coloured with chalk inks.

Thursday, 29 July 2021

Card made using  stamps from my Clarity membership collection.  Coloured using Artistry ink pads - the pink and green being used as water colors.  Surround free-hand drawn with a matching pink fine-liner, and then painted using the same green as the leaves on the stamps.

Floral card

Today's card is a stamped one using this month's stamp from the Clarity Club.   The background was created with Artistry inks through a Sweet Poppy metal stencil, and then the image stamped in the "circle" with Versafine Clair, and then water coloured with Artistry inks.  The Sentiment was a Julie Hickey stamp.

I always do inserts for my card, and for once I am sharing an example.   This is the one for this card - it was mainly produced in Craft Artist.   I always doe a border and then trim this with a wavy edged trimmer.   I normally put an image from Craft Artist on the left-hand side, but on this occasion I stamped an image using Card-io stamps, as they complimented the front of the card,

New Home Card

A New Home card using Clarity Stamp Town Houses stamp, which has been "watercoloured" with Artistry Inks.

You  can see how dodgy my central vision is these days as the ...  as I thought I was doing it in a straight line - lol!

Another Heart Card

The photo doesn't do this justice - but that's the trouble with taking photos in the winter.   I was really pleased with the result.   It's not a valentines card, but in fact a card for a granddaughter who happens to have a birthday on that day.

The heat is a Clarity Stamp and comes with the word Love and matching masks.    The surround designs were made from a stencil in my stash (and confess I can't remember whose it was).

I started by stamping the word, and masked that off and stamped the heart.   I then coloured the letters using the same Artistry teal blue ink, which I water-coloured on.   I then applied glycerine to the letters with a paintbrush and embossed them with Wow clear embossing powder.   I repeated this progress, and ended up doing triple embossing to make the letters more raised.   I also did a little shading on the heart with a grey Polychromo pencil.

An experiment with Craft Card

Having been watch the SHAC Shack with Barbara Gray and her using craft card with the lower set of stamps, I decided to have a play for this card for a pal.    The images were created with some of the Funky houses stamps and the floral alphabet, from Clarity stamp.    The images were coloured using white Posca pens and Pergaliner pencils.   The special "thin" craft card was also purchased from Clarity Stamps.

Smile!

I was pretty pleased with how this one turned out (even if my writing is rubbish! - the sparkle gel pen I was using didn't help either - should have done it with a micron pen,  Didn't dare go over it as with my dodgy eyes I would have completely mucked it up! - lol!)

I used mask for the word Smile, and then stamped the heart over it in black and clear embossed it.   I then masked the heart and brushed some artistry ink around it.  I then outlined the Smile with a blue sparkle gel pen, and adding a bit of water to the ink pad colour I had used, I highlighted a couple of sections with the same blue.

The Clarity heart stamp comes with a set of masks with about 8 different words - love, smile, joy, laugh etc.

Another Jumper Card

Another man's card using the jumper stamps again.   The jumper was actually more red than the picture shows.   I must confess that I wasn't feeling that bright the day I made this, as was the day after my vaccination and I was feeling very tired.   It was late in the day, as I had fallen asleep for 3 hours in the afternoon, but knew I had to get the card in the post to my nephew, and I really hadn't the energy to start again - thus it wasn't perfect!   However, it is the thought that counts.

Illustrated letter card

Hi there, thanks for popping in.   I am afraid I have been a bit lazy on the crafting front this month.  I am putting it down to the weather and the dark days we seem to have had, which isn't that conducive to painting or colouring etc.,  and of course the continued boredom of lockdown  They eyes just don't like it!   However, the days are getting brighter, I have had my three-monthly B12 jab so the energy has returned, and last week I had my first covid vaccine.

However, I have managed to make some cards this week and this is the first of a few.    This was created using some new Clarity Stamps.   Am loving these new decorated letters.  Not so good for men's cards as a bit flowery, but great for female ones.

And ...... Another!

Ye, I know   ,,,, I seem to be hooked on this jumper stamp from Clatiry.   Made this one for a 10 year old great great nephew who is into football.    I couldn't find small enough stamps to add the B and 10 so they were added with a micron pen.

Birthday Cards - Variation on a Theme 3

..... and the last one in this little trio of variations.   This has proved a really useful stamp, and the fact that the money from its purchase went to Children in Need is a great feeling.

This time in addition to the jumper stamps, I used a little butterfly from IndigoBlu.

Also may I take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year and here's hoping that we get back to some sort of normality in 2021. x

Birthday Cards - Variation on a Theme 1

The jumper stamp was still on my desk from Christmas Eve, so as I had some more cards to do, I have used it more than once recently.     This is the first variation.

Christmas Jumper Birthday Card

Clarity Stamp were selling this jumper stamp in aid of a children's charity.    I used it for a friend's birthday card for his birthday on Christmas Eve.

The jumper was created using Artistry ink brushed on to the image, and then the decoration done with Nuvo blue ink pad.  The edge of the card had double-sided tape added and then gilding flakes rubbed into it.

Christmas Cards 2

Another of the Pergamano fairy images - again a few variations on a theme with this design

Christmas Cards 1

have kept the cards fairly simple this year with a variation on a theme, using the Clarity Pergamano Poppet stamps.   Some were stamped in black and some  stamped in gold or silver.  Water-coloured with artistry inks, then a little glue and glitter added.   I added a variety of sentiments.
