Black & White Box

I have at last painted this box which has been sitting on my desk for a few months!   Originally I wanted it to be blue to look like Wedgewood, but I couldn't find any suitable card in my stash, and as I needed to stamp and emboss, painting the MDF wouldn't really work.   So ..... I decided to paint it to match the little one I painted a while ago.

Basically the box was painted with black gesso, and then strips of black card were cut, and a pattern stamped (John Next Door stamp) with clear embossing powder, and then Cosmic shimmer white detail embossing powder applied.   The strips where then stuck onto the panels of the box.  The handle was painted white and finally the whole thing sprayed with Spray and Shine.

Birthday Card for a Friend

A simple card for a friend using John Next Door stamps.  Green Nuvo ink, Spectrum Noir Midas metallic pigment ink in Silver, and Black Nuvo  ink embossed with clear embossing powder.

Butterfly Card

I received this butterfly stamp as a freebie with an order, and decided to use it for a crd.  I stamped it with Spectrum Noir Metallic pigment in rose gold onto watercolour paper, and then using pigment inks I painted it and cut it out.   I used a little nuvo glue and Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewls and Indigo Blu Unicorn Sparkles.  I gave it a quick spray with Spray and Shine - to set the colour and gtive it a shine.

I mounted it on to the card, and added myh favourite corner stamps from John Next Door using a platinum metallic pigment ink.

Here is the last card - I had to make a few of those, as I realised I was still short of cards.   Thankfully the stamping platform came in very useful, and I kept it very simple.  Stamps used with from John Next Door and Julie Hickey, and I used my favourite Nuvo ink in blue.
