  This card was done in Craft Artist.   I chose the house I liked and then added various elements.

Another Anniversary Card

 

It was difficult to get a good photo of this card, the topper looks darker than it is in real life.  The border,  corner swirls, and wording are a light gold.    As ever it was created in my "go to" programme of  Craft Artist.   It also has a little glitter added to the cake and flowers.

Birthday Card

I changed my mind so many times making this card - I started by attempting to do something with a dreamcatcher stamp, but ended up scanning the page I doodled a while ago, and resizing it and putting it into Craft Artist.  Hope the recipient realises it is an original drawing by me!

Another Anniversary Card

As yesterday, another anniversary card using a photo of one of my roses taken this week.   I took the image  into the cut-out studio in Craft Artist and removed the background and created frames and added a sentiment.    I also added some little diamanté at the bottom.

Something a bit different .....

I had a man's card to make this week, and had no idea what I wanted to use for it.   A mixed pack of stamps, stencil and embossing folder jumped out at me.   Not sure where I got it from - might have been from a magazine, or maybe a special offer through Hochanda, as I think it is an Indigoblu make, looking at some of the samps in the collection.  I decided to experiment!

I used the dotty circle stencil with Artistry Inks (a blue, a red and a yellow) through it straight on to the card stock , and then used one of the script stamps over it, using the same colours.

I cut a piece of card and the embossing folder, and then daubed the three colours again over the  raised parts.  I then applied a WOW embossing ink pad across the whole thing and added clear embossing powder, and heated it to give a glossy finish.   I stamped out the light bulb with the clear ink pad and then used the new WOW Blending Powder, heated it up and applied a blue foil to it.   I then coloured it with Artistry Inks and clear embossed the whole thing.

Finally I stamped and embossed the sentiment with Primary Ebony embossing powder and die cut it, and edge it with some of the red artistry ink.

So completely out of my comfort zone with this card, but as it is for a man who likes steampunk, I hope it fits the bill.

Sympathy Card for a Treasured Pet

A dear friend and neighbour lost her beautiful dog yesterday.   I thought I would make her a card to say that I was thinking of her.  (which is the sentiment inside the card).

I took a picture of her dog and removed the rest of the photo, and then used it on a background from Craft Artist.  Added a rainbow, a bridge and a tennis ball - his favourite toy.

Run free of the Rainbow Bridge Bentley.  You will be sorely missed.

Red Birthday Card

I  used one of my Clarity Craft Club dies for this card.    I cut into the card with the die, and then mounted  a piece of one of Joanna Sheen's Faux Pour Paper pads behind it.   I cut two more pieces from the paper pad for the decorative strips.  I then added gilding flakes, ink and UTEE to a Clarity greyboard heart (one of Leonie Pujol's designs).  (It doesn't look straight in the picture - but it is!)

For once I didn't personalise the front of the card with a name, but the insert was personalised.   The recipient is a new addition to the family, and I wasn't sure of her interests/hobbies so I kept it "neutral" so to speak.

Anniversary Card

 

A card for a mathematician and her husband.    The card blank was masked off and the background created with an AALL & Create stamp (stamped a couple of times).  I then drew around the stamped images with a Sakura glitter pen.   I created the sentiments in Craft Artist, and glazed them. 

The flower was made with coloured parchment and the new Clarity picot flower dies and matching Groovi plate and affixed to the card with a little gem brad. 

I fell in love with the picot flower dies and marching Groovi plates, and treated myself to a couple.   I know my eyes aren't good enough these days to cope with parchment work on a large scale, but as I have some Groovi products, I thought I could probably cope with doing something on a small scale like the flowers.   I was pleased that I managed it.

Easter Gift Cards

I haven't made Easter Cards as such this year.  I also haven't bought Ester Eggs for the family - with a lot of them having allergies to various things like, milk, nuts etc. I couldn't cope with my dodgy eyes of reading every single package to find out if they were suitable, so this year they are all getting some money.  However, rather than just giving them the money I made some cards to hold the money, so they looked more like a present.

I used the new Katy Sue "Adventures in Creativity" stamps, which I have fallen in love with..  They are based on Emma Boyes paper cutting images, which some of the granddaughters have

I stamped the images with various colours of Nuvo pads, and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  They were then "water coloured"  with either Indigoblu Luscious Powders or acrylic paint (mainly Posca Pens water down)  I found some old Easter peel-offs in my stash, so added those (albeit these aren't showing up that well in the photos)

Poppy heads card

Another card using the Clarity Fresh Cut dies - the poppy head one this time, using some backing paper from the Clarity Rainbow River pad.  (Albeit I will confess that I had intended to use the more patterned side - but applied the glue to the wrong side of the paper - duh!)  I compensated by added a bit of sparkle pen to the poppy heads.

Sympathy Card

I do love my new Clarity dies - they are so versatile.  I cut out the lily one in black card, and applied double-sided adhesive behind it and then applied some of the Clarity silvery gold leaf, and stuck it onto a plain white card.   Printed out the sentiment and mounted that on matching black card/

Good Luck for Exams Card

My eldest granddaughter starts her GCSE exams this week, so I made this little good luck card for her.

Just a quick selection of some of the Easter Cards I made - using a freebie background from a pal.  Kept them simple, but added  little sparkle after they were printed.

McIntosh inspired card 2

I also made this McIntosh card at the same time as the other one I shared yesterday.  Working on the principal - less is more!

Golden Wedding Card

Quite by chance I learned that neighbours would be celebrating their golden wedding later this month.  Needless to say I made them a card.

Created in Craft Artist, with a little glossy accents added to the pearl and a little sparkle from a clear sparkle overlay pen.

Granddaughter's card for a friend

Today I taught the 5 year old and the 8 year old how to use Craft Artist.   The 5 year old created a picture for her Dad (but I forgot to take a photo, before she gave it to him, and I didn't save it on the computer - bad Nanny!).   The 8 year old made a card for a friend who is going into hospital

Anniversary Card

I received a birthday card from a crafting friend earlier in the year with concentric circles on it.  The effect fascinated me, and I had to ask how she had done it, thinking she had used some special dies - but no the effect was just done with circle dies ........ so I attempted to reproduce a version of it for my daughter's anniversary card.   

I don't have a lot of dies, and only a very small selection of circles - I may have to rectify that, as rather like the effect.  I cut these from gold mirri card.

The background paper was created using distress oxides in cracked pistachio, wild honey and pickled raspberry - randomly applied with a dry wet wipe and blended together.   The rose and leaves were also coloured with the same distress oxides.

I created the sentiment in Craft Artist.  I added Nuvo Jewel drops to the card in yellow, green and pink.  (The ones on the circles are actually translucent green.

New Home Card

Another less is more card for the front of this new home card.  The insert said everything that needed to be said.
