Ballerina Girl

So here is my second card for yesterday's family birthdays - a card for my three year-old granddaughter.  A 6" square scalloped card from craftwork cards.   Main image is from Joanna Sheen's Daisy and Friends, coloured with promarkers, and mounted on purple pearlescent card.  A strip of glitter card, another made from a Martha Stewart punch and a little bit of pretty ribbon from a Docrafts Goodybag..  Finished off with a couple of peel-offs.

Obviously no zentangle this card, but I played on the envelope! :-)

Playing about

I decided to have a play tonight with some recent purchases, some I bought at New Year in the Craft Barn half price sale, and some I bought at Sandown Show on Saturday.  No recipient in mind at the moment - so one for the box! 

The main topper is created from lemon papermania paper and purple mirri using a Nellie Snellen die.   The strip along the bottom was created with my new Tonic Studios Simplicity Patterned Punch - "Daisy Strip" (from Crafty Devils), and the fancy circles from a Martha Stewart punch, using papermania pearlescent card, and I used the little flowers from the centre of the Daisy Strip to decorate the main topper.   Finished off with a couple of pearls from a sheet also purchased from Crafty Devils and a white sparkly peel-off greeting from my stash.

I am loving the new Tonic punches - takes a bit of practise to keep them in line, but am getting there.  I also bought the Celtic Strip which is gorgeous!

Second Furry Friends card

Image is from JS Furry Friends, matted and layered on very pale pink shimmered card (forget the name -bought it at Ally Pally) and silver mirri.

The Martha Stewart trellis was punched from card created from the central part of the cat image amd resized.  Flower and sentiment (matted/layered as image) was also created from cropping part of the image and resizing to create matching card.  Basic card is my favourite Papermania Shimmer card.

Tactile Card

Made this today for my mum's cousin, who is now blind, who will be 89 this month.   A little bit busy perhaps, but I wanted to make it as tactile as possible.  Do you think it is ok?

Ivory hammered card stock, folded to A5 size.  The backing paper, ribbon. bow, buttons and name letters are from Papermania Lemon Sorbet collection.  Matting layer is green mirri.   Martha Stewart punch and an X-cut dimension butterfly punch hopefully will also add a bit of touchy feely, as well as the little heart-shaped buckle.  Flowers were created from a Woodware punch, and the swirls were sizix die.  Flowersoft in the cente of the flowers - so another texture to feel.

 My Ruby Wedding is fast approaching and thought I would share what I have made so far for it.

All I have got to do now is make a few teeny tiny cupcakes to go around the main cake for the grandchildren, and those who do not like fruit cake, and make the floral table decorations.    Fortunately my pal Sassie is arriving today to help us celebrate on Sunday, so we shall have fun making those.
