Anniversary Card

Wedding Anniversary for a very good pal.   I knew she wouldn't appreciate a "slushy" card.  I chose this image of two mice with the man giving the lady a present of some cheese - thus the wording that I put on!

Hope she likes it and is still speaking to me when she receives it!

Christmas Cards (CAP)

Time was a bit short this year for doing cards, as I was so behind after my husband's death, and really couldn't get my mojo working.  I created three simple designs about 4" square, which meant I could get 6 on a page to print them off.   A quick chop with the guillotine, and a tape pen and voila done.  It also meant I could use up my stash of small card blanks.

Variations on a theme

Today I am sharing two cards I made recently the one above for a female friend's birthday ....

... and this one I made earlier in the month for a male friend who is a flotist

Basically the same but different!

New Home Card

A new home card using one of my favourite images from Joanna Sheen's Diary of An Edwardian Lady, imported into CAP and some wording added.  Mounted on grey pearlescent card.

The verse inside says:

When the boxes are gone
And you've cleaned up the mess
You'll make a home of the house
That was just an address

Birthday Cards

I have been CAPping again, for two Birthdays recent birthdays.  The first one is for a great nephew using the Bloke digikits.

The second is for a very old school friend (not old in the age sense, although we will both be celebrating an "0" milestone next year) but old meaning long standing!

I saw this image in one of my digikits and just knew I wanted to used it - as my pal collects and sells postcards amongst much other ephemera.   The digikit is Hearts and Roses from Hearts Designs, and are images drawn and painted by local artists in East Sussex.

Birthday Card

I so liked the effect of the writing on the christening acceptance card, that I used the technique for this birthday card and because I wanted to achieve a "Less is More" look, just added a decoupaged flower from MCS Click Print Go flowers to match.

Acceptance Card

Just a simple card today - the wording was created in Craft Artist Platinum, saved as a jpeg, then converted to a png in Paintshoppro, and then put into MCS and the candle added from the MCS Celebrations cd.  The wording has a sort of marbled effect and I have highlighted it with clear sakura sparkle pen.

Male 18th birthday

A card for a pals' grandson who is looking forward to going to the pub for his first beer!  He is also into football, pool and cars.  The car dates from his birth year!  As you can see the pool balls have his age on them.  (somewhere in my stash I am sure I have some similar bought embellishments - but can I find them? - however they would probably have been too small in relation to the rest of the items)  I also added the Forever Friends bear with the 18 Key.

The image was put together in CAP and the wording added with the new squiggly word facility.  A little glitter was added to the key, the wheels of the car, the beer and the pool balls.  Image mounted on to brown card, then gold mirri and brown cardstock.
