a couple of cards

Two completely different techniques tonight.

I had some pretty paper in my stash, and thought I would do a simple card (and unusual for me it is not personalised on the front - although it is inside).  Butterfly was cut out of some handmade paper I had in my stash, and dusted with dusting brush and ink from Big & Juicy - Mountain Mewdow.  The edges of the patterned paper were also edged with the big and juicy ink too.

and this one was created using the old faithful Craft Artist 2.    I used Back to school and one of the layouts and added to it.  Again it was personalised inside.

Card for a two year old

Here is the card, I made to go with the dolls bedding.   Tabs loves In the Night Garden, so used a picture of Igglepiggle.

I also used some of my latest purchases from Make-It at Farnborough on Saturday.   A spellbinder's die for the card base, a memory box butterfly and a silk flower, which is made from ribbon for Ribbonbox.  Love this ribbon, comes as a strip with a  pull thread - cut of seven leaves, pull thread and tie a knot and voila - one flower.  They do various colours, but I bought cream and white as I can always change the colour with promarkers.

Just for once I have actually produced a hybrid card.  Don't faint!   Definitely a less is more card, created with a die, a punch, a punch and some peel-offs.  I have hundreds of peel-offs in my stash, and do try and use them every so often.

 

However, the next two were created in my beloved CAP!  The first being for my great niece, and uses one of my favourite digikits.

 

 

                             

 

 

 

This second one involved being a bit creative with an image of the statues out to sea at Newbiggin, where my cousin lives.  As she is a card-maker, I tried to think outside the box slightly, and add some subtle personalisation.
