Made this for my son-in-law ...... I normally do something train related! However, this die came with my Clarity Membership subscription, and as he is a keen gardener and love the butterflies that visit the garden I decided to use it. Die is cut from red pearlised card stock, and mounted on a piece of hessian, which was in turn mounted on to a piece of matching hand made paper. I then created some faux stitching with a matching fine liner pen.

Alcohol Ink Birthday Card
I used a section of a little play I had with alcohol inks and acrylic paint for this card. The background was created on yupo paper, and I had originally wanted to try and take the colour out from it, but it didn't work, so I stamped the bee using white acrylic paint.
The image was mounted on to red mrri card, and a Clarity die used with the same card for the sentiment.

I don't normally show inserts for the cards I create, although I always make one to match the design on the front - so here is the insert for this card (created in Craft Artist).

Anyone For Coffee?
Card created with Gummiapan dies, and Clarity die for the sentiment. Simple but effective, using brown pearlised cardstock, and a colouring the heart with pencil.

Floral Birthday Card
I have been busy the last week or so making the most of the fine weather to get the garden straight, so crafting has been on the back burner. However a couple of birthday cards have been made recently, albeit I forgot to take a photo of one of them!
This card was made using The Clarity Club die for March on faux pour paper from Joanna Sheen.

I then painted the flowers using Pergamano pencils and water. Finishing off with a dotty outline around the edge with a fine liner pen.

Da Vinci Style Birthday Card.
My daughter loves anything to do with Da Vinci, so I bought this stencil from Bee Crafty with her in mind.
I inked it with shades of blue and green versa magic, and then added some elements from a Clarity Floral die for the corners and the sentiment. Hope she likes it.

Shades of Blue Birthday Card
Very similar to the card I posted yesterday, but with some blue backing paper from the Northern Lights pad, and using the die that comes with the Happy Birthday.

Shades of Red Birthday Card
I used one of the new Clarity Fresh Cut Foral Framedies for this card. This one comes with the sentiment Thinking of You, but I used the Happy Birthday from another die set. Cut out of the card, and then a sheet of their Northern Lights paper mounted behind it. Simple but effective.

Looking Out to Sea
I love this Kim Moody stamp (one of a couple I treated myself too). I thought it would be great for cards for some of the males in myh family - particularly as a few have links to sailing or the coast.
It was stamped and smooth water-colour card from Chocolate Baroque, and then painted using colour from either Versamagic or Artistry Ink pads. The sentiment was a Claritystamp die.

Christmas Cards continued
Not many more - I promise, but wanted to include this experiment - I was really pleased with it. I covered the die cut with Nuvo clear embossing ink and then sprinkles IZink transparent 3D embossing posder on it - the effect was lovely.
Spectrum Noir Rose Gold Metallic pigment ink was used to stamp the corners, and a piece of matching Clarity parchment used behind the image.

Christmas Cards 3
It's back to Christmas cards again today, and another one of the designs of a batch I made. Clarity dies again, mounted on to one of their design paper sheets, which had also been die cut. Finished off with a couple of Julie Hickey stamps, which were stamped with a Nuvo green ink pad.

Sympathy Card
Keeping it simple again, with a fairly plain front of the card using my favourite Clarity Fresh Cut Lily die, and putting the sentiment etc on the insert.

Poppy heads card
Another card using the Clarity Fresh Cut dies - the poppy head one this time, using some backing paper from the Clarity Rainbow River pad. (Albeit I will confess that I had intended to use the more patterned side - but applied the glue to the wrong side of the paper - duh!) I compensated by added a bit of sparkle pen to the poppy heads.
