Created this card for my son and his wife with Forever Friends cd.   The sakura sparkle pen came out of hiding too for some highlighting.

Guess what another image from Justinklined "The Next Big Thing".  I seem to be using this such a lot but it is so versatile.

 

Image coloured with promarkers and mounted on to navy cardstock, with matching computer generated sentiment and some cardcandy.

This was some items I played with over the weekend.

Small papier maché trunk painted with acrylics and stamped with leather look stamp,
and a couple of wooden embellishments added.

First side of small tealight holder - blackberries

4th Side - Buddlehia (might have to overpaint this as not pink enough)

3 generation play day

It is not often I get to craft with my daughter except during school holidays when she is not working. Yesterday she and my granddaughter came to play in my new "Den".

We had a lovely afternoon, even if they did make off with a lot of my stash!!!!!  (as you will see from the piccies!)

I showed them my attempts at altered art bookmarks after I watched a demo by Andy Skinner at the Craft Barn the other week. Naturally they wanted to have a go; and as my daughter said "it was a tad out of our comfort zone".

Anyway here are some photos of our "play".

Dark Green, Olive Green and Silver

I ordered a load of new colours of kumihino cord from Beader's Companion last week and had a play with some of the colours.  Decided to attempt a tri-colour one this time.  The bell caps are from my stash - wish I could remember where I bought them, as they are really nice.

memory wire bracelets and Kumi bracelets

I made these three little memory wire bracelets for my eldest granddaughters using some beads I got from Beader's Companion.  The red ones came as a freebie with an order I did during their birthday week, and the blue ones were some I got with my BC points, and I thought it was about time I got around to using them.

This next picture is of two kumi bracelets.  The blue one was created by my six year old granddaughter, although I added the findings to it for her, as we couldn't finish it off at the time, as we were at her aunt's, and I didn't have the wherewithall with me to finish it off.   I decided to let her try to make one with narrow ribbon rather than cord, as my Kumi cord was a bit precious.   I must admit it made a lovely little bracelet for a little girl as the finished result was quite narrow.

Having watched her sister make hers, the 3 year old wanted one too, so I promised to make her one.  She chose the pink ribbons she wanted from my stash.

In Deepest Symmpathy

Always difficult cards to make, but once again Inklined "The Next Big Thing" comes to the rescue.  This cd is really so versatile.  Coloured with promarkers, and again the background inked using a Big & Juicy and my ink dusters.  Computer generated sentiment.  Both sentiment and image mounted on black card.  The main cardstock is pearlised and have added a few embossed lines with the Hougie Board.

Welcome Home

This is a card I did for some very old friends (and near neighbours) to welcome them back home.  (They had a kitchen fire a few months ago, and have been in rented accommodation whilst the house was cleaned etc).  My pal lost most of her craft stash because it was smoke damaged.

Image is coloured with promarkers, and although I went around the  image with aqua promarker, I tried out my new Inkylicious Ink Dusters to do the background !  Oh WOW talk about the next best thing to sliced bread!  Never been much good at distressing etc as always seem to get an uneven finish no matter how I try - but these are ace.  I used one of my Big and Juicy ink pads.   I even managed to "dust up" the sentiment with the ink left on the brush.  No more tracing around the image with blue promarkers for me again!
