I don't know the full history of the christening gown but it is Victorian, and was possibly my grandmother's gown. My brother was also christened in it (although he is no longer alive). I am also not sure if my mum was christened in it as we have no photos of her before her marriage (her house was bombed the week before her wedding, and all the family photos were lost!)
I think it is a lovely photo (and I scrubbed up fairly well didn't I? lol!)
