Whilst my pal Sassie was staying with me, I taught her how to make faux leather: We mainly used Crafter's Companion embossing folders as demonstrated by Sheena Douglass.
We used mainly Distress inks, apart from the owl card, which had a bit more added to the inked faux leather
(see details on that further down)

Owl Card |
The owl card was made using the leaf vein embossing folder faux leather, which was then painted with green/blue, blue/green, yellow/green and precious gold Pebeo DYNA iridescent paints. The owl made from a piece of the woodgrain embossed faux leather, and was painted with a mixture of golds in same paints and then die cut with a Joanna Sheen Owl die.
